Canine Clippers is a family-owned and operated grooming shop run by a mother and daughter team. Tammy, a single mother, raised her daughters in this area and built a life grounded in hard work, family, and community. After years of working in this business together, we were proud to purchase Canine Clippers in 2019 and make it our own.

Today, Tammy runs the shop with her daughter Katy, while Katy’s sister Meghan works in childcare. Caring for others has always been at the heart of our family, and that same mindset carries into the way we care for every dog who comes through our door.

Because it’s just the two of us in the shop, we’re able to keep things personal and give every dog the time, patience, and attention they deserve. We take pride in building real relationships with our clients and their pets, and we know how important it is to have a groomer you trust.

At Canine Clippers, we believe in humanity over vanity. Your dog’s comfort and well-being always come first. That means we will never put a dog through unnecessary stress, pulling, or tugging for the sake of appearance alone. Our goal is to provide quality grooming in a calm, caring environment while always putting the dog first.

Being a small, family-run shop allows us to keep our work personal, intentional, and centered around each dog’s individual needs. We’re thankful for the relationships we’ve built with our clients and proud to serve the community that has meant so much to our family.

From a bath to a full groom, let’s find the right fit for your dog’s coat and needs.

Basic Bath

A bath, blow dry, brushing and nail trim, with paw-pad, eye or sanitary trimming when needed.

Grooming

Bath, blow dry, brushing, full-body grooming and nail trimming, all in one appointment.

Add-On Services

Ask about de-shedding, ear cleaning, nail dremeling and teeth brushing. Nail-trim-only visits are available by appointment.

Every dog is different. Pricing depends on size, coat condition, temperament and time needed. Call to discuss your dog and confirm a quote.

Katy and tam are amazing with my two pups. I have been going to them for 15 years now. They started with my rottie and when I got my yorkie I took her there. Now I take my yorkie and Great Dane to them.
They take pride in what they do. Always making sure the pups are good. They treat my dogs as their own. They are personable.
Grooming is top tier! My dogs come back feeling brand new. Their nails are always clipped and eyes are always clean and smelling great from their bath. My yorkies haircut always looks amazing.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I would always take my dogs to tam and Kate as long as they are in business. They are family to us now and my dogs wouldn’t know anyone else. They are the best of the best.

My big dog Macy hates to get her nails clipped. Katy was so good with her that she didn't even flinch! I never have to worry about how my dogs are being treated. Katy and her mother Tammy are true dog people.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Visits are by appointment only, Tuesday through Saturday. Please call 215-482-9091 to check availability and schedule; walk-ins are not accepted.

How long does grooming take?

The shop asks you to allow about four hours from drop-off. They’ll call when your dog is ready; let them know at drop-off if you prefer a text. Please wait for that notification before returning.

Do you groom puppies and senior dogs?

Yes. Puppies should have their puppy vaccinations before their first groom. Senior comfort grooms are also offered. Call to discuss your dog’s specific needs.

Is a nail trim included?

Yes, nail trimming is included in bathing and grooming packages. You can also call to arrange a nail-trim-only appointment.

How should I prepare for my visit?

Call to confirm your service, price and appointment time. Mention any coat, behavior or comfort concerns so the team can discuss the best approach for your dog. Ask about current payment and cancellation policies when booking.
